About Edward and Deborah Pollack

    Edward and Deborah Pollack have been in the art world for over thirty-five years as prominent art collectors and dealers of fine nineteenth and early twentieth-century American art. Their gallery represents the estate of the Orville Bulman. The Pollacks are devoted to preserving Bulman's legacy and reawakening interest in his art on a worldwide basis. 

     In the early 1970s Edward's gallery was The Pollack Gallery on Madison Avenue in New York City and he was known by his colleagues to have the best eye in the business. Deborah, after graduating with honors from Temple University, was a private art dealer, D. Courtney Fine Art, based in New York and Pennsylvania. 

    In 1981 they married and merged their businesses to create Edward and Deborah Pollack Fine Art. Their gallery is located at 205 Worth Avenue, Suite 202, in Palm Beach, Florida. 

     Art dealer, author, and lecturer, Deborah C. Pollack was born in Philadelphia. She began fine-art dealing as a hobby at the age of sixteen and has been researching art history ever since. (During the 1970s she was also a New York television actress known as Deborah Courtney.) Deborah Pollack is the author of Inspired Whimsy: The Genius of Orville Bulman, and the best-selling monograph on the artist, Orville Bulman: An Enchanted Life and Fantastic Legacy. In January 2005, Deborah gave a lecture and slide presentation on the art of Orville Bulman at The Society of the Four Arts in Palm Beach. She gave a lecture and slide presentation on January 25, 2006 on "Florida Artists-1860-1980" at the same venue. It was so successful that there was standing room only. She presented another lecture on Orville Bulman at the Grand Rapids Art Museum on September 29, 2006  followed by a book signing which was a huge success, as was the lecture and book signing  at the Society of the Four Arts on January 24, 2007. She has lectured on Palm Beach artists at the Lost Tree Club and the Rotary Club. Deborah presented "Painters of the Flagler Era" in April 2009 for the St. Augustine Art Association. She is grateful that the audiences at all the venues were so appreciative and receptive.

     Deborah has curated and hung exhibitions at the Society of the Four Arts King Library and the Delray Beach Historical Society. She is the author of the biography of the artist, Laura Woodward: The Artist Behind the Innovator Who Developed Palm Beach, which has been published in association with the Historical Society of Palm Beach County.She is deeply honored that the Education Network (serving the School District of Palm Beach County), has aired a documentary about the book. Deborah has also written articles about Laura Woodward that will be published in forthcoming magazines, including Antiques and Art Around Florida and Tequesta. . 

  Deborah Pollack is an affiliated member of the International Society of Appraisers, a member of the Historical Society of Palm Beach County, a member of the Palm Beach Cultural Council, a life member of the Actors Fund, an associate of Archives of American Art, a member of the South Florida Writers' Association, and a member of the Brain Injury Association of Florida. (Deborah helps survivors and caregivers cope with Traumatic Brain Injury.      Edward and Deborah Pollack continue to deal in and collect important American paintings, and to be devoted to bringing artists, who were well-known in their lifetime, back into the forefront.

     There have been four highly successful Orville Bulman exhibitions at Edward and Deborah Pollack Fine Art. The Pollacks are foremost in the purchase and sale of paintings by Orville Bulman and almost always have Bulman paintings available.
